Self Portrait - One

I am taking a portrait class. Since I have done caricatures for years, my ability to create a serious portrait has become difficult. So I decided to enter into an intense portrait class at the Barnstone Studios. I am learning some much as well as reinforcing skills that I already have. So let me know what you think of an earlier attempt. Keep checking my blog to see my progression. At this time I am simply trying to master a simple measured drawing of my head. This will become the foundation for more expressive portraits. But to be great, I must master the basics first.
