Modigliani

Evelyn and I went to Blockbuster to pick up some movie (of course).... Her eyes are good... she spotted this movie called "Modigliani". Modigliani is a movie about artist Amedeo Modigliani who according to the movie was a rival of Picasso. The movie was magical. The best artist movie I have every seen because the director, writers and some of the actors.... must be artists themselves. Evelyn and I laughed as we watched this movie because so many of the things that the director and actors expressed were magical, insider experiences and expressions of the Artist. And of course dating an Artist Evelyn could appreciate from first hand experience many of the neurosis’s the artists in the movie were expressing. From the way Modigliani would gracefully catch the smoke or air in his hands to the forceful trance an artist would find himself in when captured in the direct ray of beauty often radiating from the form, face or neck of a woman. It truly is a classic work of art, this movie is.

And the brotherhood, fame and rivalry of the artists were a beautiful thing to see. How I miss the days of University where the brotherhood, fame among peers and the rivalry among artists lived and breathed healthily. Soon... my heart says to me... Soon I shall breathe in the air of that atmosphere... Soon Aladine Soon Mr. Vargas.
